What you will do

• Administer the capacity auction clearing process and publish analysis and public reports on its results.
• Perform financial analysis of power plant costs and revenues to determine default floor and cap prices, demand-curve inputs, and related market parameters.
• Manage auction inputs, optimization-engine outputs, financial settlements, performance metrics, empirical analyses, and presentations.
• Define, document, and test functional and technical requirements for software integration projects implementing market-rule changes and technology upgrades.
• Translate PJM Tariff and Manual requirements into robust operational processes and collaborate with software developers on implementation.
• Support PJM members, develop training materials, and assist with stakeholder training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of data analytics and quantitative analysis experience using SAS, SQL, Python, or similar tools.
• Ability to consolidate data into meaningful information, verify accuracy, and implement quality controls.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including complex workbook development and maintenance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
• Knowledge of wholesale electricity markets.

Nice to have

• Graduate degree such as a PhD, MA, MS, or MBA.
• Experience with PJM capacity market rules and the settlement process.
• Experience in power plant financial modeling and analysis.
