Vice President, Gene Editing Core

Location: Cambridge, Massachusetts, United States

Base salary: $327,100–$399,900 USD per year, plus performance-based annual cash bonus, new-hire equity grant, and potential annual equity awards.

What you will do

• Set the strategic vision for genomics innovation supporting gene-editing therapy research.
• Lead development of assays and reagents for on-target, off-target, and structural-variant analysis.
• Oversee NGS production, AMP-seq, off-target discovery and confirmation, and structural-variant workflows.
• Advance guide RNA, messenger RNA, delivery, novel nuclease, and gene-editing platform initiatives.
• Partner with preclinical NGS, computational biology, software engineering, automation, clinical, regulatory, and product development teams.
• Manage the Genomics Core budget, resources, external collaborations, compliance, and delivery of services across projects.

Requirements

• PhD or equivalent in molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, or a related field.
• At least 8 years of related professional experience with a PhD, or 10 years with a master's or bachelor's degree.
• At least 7 years of direct people-management experience.
• Extensive genomics experience, including sequencing technologies, genomic data analysis, NGS, ddPCR, single-cell genomics, and spatial transcriptomics.
• Strong experimental design, bioinformatics, analytical, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Knowledge of genomic research regulations, data management standards, biosafety, and preclinical and clinical research.
