Manager, Accounting Operations Business Support & Analytics (AI & Automation)

Location: Richmond, Virginia, United States; onsite at the hirify.global Home Office 4 days per week. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Salary: $104,200–$166,700 annually, with potential bonus and equity eligibility.

What you will do

• Review and optimize accounting operations processes to improve efficiency, reduce risk, strengthen controls, and identify automation opportunities.
• Design, develop, and support AI-enabled, RPA, workflow automation, and intelligent process automation solutions.
• Use Copilot, Claude, Alteryx, Python, SQL, Power Platform, and related analytics technologies to transform and analyze complex business data.
• Build advanced analytics, dashboards, and reporting that provide actionable insights to Accounting Operations leaders and business partners.
• Lead strategic projects involving operational transformation, digital enablement, continuous improvement, testing, implementation, and change adoption.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Technology, Compliance, and other teams to define requirements and deliver scalable technology solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance, business operations, analytics, automation, or a related field, including knowledge of GAAP.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, process mapping, workflow design, data management, and operational controls skills.
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytics, automation, and technology solutions and lead workstreams across teams.
• Proficiency with SQL and advanced Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Current full-time work authorization in the United States is required; visa sponsorship will not be considered.
• Work onsite at the Richmond, Virginia Home Office 4 days per week.

Nice to have

• 3+ years of experience in business analytics, process improvement, data engineering, automation, or operational excellence.
• Experience with Alteryx, RPA, Python, Power Platform, Tableau, Power BI, cloud analytics platforms, and modern data architectures.
• Experience applying AI or machine learning to business processes and decision-making.
• Experience building automated workflows, bots, predictive models, or intelligent automation solutions.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
