Sr Staff Layout Engineer (Analog IC)

Location: Catania, Italy; onsite, with no remote work available

Salary: €62,000–€83,000 yearly, plus bonus eligibility

What you will do

• Design analog layouts from block level through full-chip implementation for DC-DC converters, controllers, drivers, charge pumps, comparators, amplifiers, bandgaps, and linear regulators.
• Develop floorplans and leaf-cell layouts while applying analog matching techniques.
• Design for electromigration, reliability, packaging, and production requirements.
• Own layout activities independently and deliver work within committed schedules.
• Collaborate with design and layout colleagues worldwide to reduce rework and deliver high-quality layouts.
• Follow methodology guidelines to support IP portability across designs.

Requirements

• 12–15 years of experience in analog layout design and associated DRC, LVS, and packaging flows.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
• Deep knowledge of floorplanning, leaf-cell layout, analog layout matching, electromigration, and reliability design.
• Experience with Virtuoso XL, Calibre DRC/LVS/PEX, PVS, or R3D.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and collaborate effectively across teams.

Nice to have

• Understanding of IC processing, preferably BCD nodes, packaging, and production test.
• SKILL coding and scripting experience with Python, Perl, or TCL.
• Familiarity with advanced IC CAD tools.
