Senior Fintech Risk Management Specialist (AI)

Location: Los Angeles, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $167,538–$312,867 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Analyze user behavior, device fingerprints, and login patterns to detect account takeovers, collusion, card testing, synthetic identities, and other fraud typologies.
• Build automated triggers to freeze suspicious accounts and reduce financial losses while conducting high-value and complex risk reviews.
• Oversee chargeback and dispute contests, identify winnable cases, and improve automated representment performance.
• Develop and maintain Risk Operations SOPs and analyze manual-review gaps.
• Partner with Product and Engineering to replace manual workflows with AI agents and automated risk tooling.
• Implement solutions using OCR, LLM-based document parsing, automated risk scoring, and payment-signal ingestion.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of quantitative analytical experience in Risk Operations, Trust & Safety, or FinTech.
• SQL is required; Python for data analysis is advantageous.
• Experience building reporting suites with BI tools such as Tableau.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Ability to work fully onsite in Los Angeles up to 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience managing external vendors or large-scale moderation workforces.
• Hands-on experience implementing AI agents or machine learning models for operational automation.
• Experience using LLMs for text classification or vision models for identity verification.
