Head of Risk Strategy & Transformation (AI/ML)

Location: New York, NY, USA; hybrid work arrangement with at least three days per week in-office

Base salary: $148,000–$274,000 per year, plus annual bonus or commission, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Develop and drive execution of hirify.global's enterprise-wide risk strategy with the Chief Risk Officer and senior risk leaders.
• Identify emerging risks and opportunities related to technology, market dynamics, and regulatory developments.
• Create and maintain a multi-year risk transformation roadmap aligned with corporate strategy.
• Evaluate and re-engineer risk processes, frameworks, and tools to improve accuracy, efficiency, scalability, and speed to insight.
• Partner with enterprise, financial, technology, and business risk leads to coordinate and implement transformation initiatives.
• Influence senior decision-making and drive change across a matrixed organization without direct reports.

Requirements

• 12+ years of risk management experience in financial services, capital markets, financial technology, or exchange and market infrastructure organizations.
• Deep expertise in risk management frameworks, methodologies, and governance, including enterprise, operational, financial, or technology risk.
• Demonstrated success driving results through influence in a matrixed environment without direct reports.
• Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and executive-level communication abilities.
• Experience engaging with C-suite executives, regulators, and cross-functional leaders.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Risk Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Nice to have

• Master's degree such as an MBA or MS in Risk Management.
• FRM, PRM, CFA, or equivalent certification.
• Knowledge of AI governance, model risk management, emerging technology risk, capital markets, clearing, exchange operations, or market surveillance.
• Experience leading risk process re-engineering or modernization using technology, AI/ML, or automation.
