Purchasing Specialist (CAPEX, MRO, Services, etc.)

Location: Piscataway, New Jersey, United States

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year, based on experience.

What you will do

• Manage source-to-pay and procure-to-pay cycles for CAPEX, MRO, services, and other assigned indirect procurement categories.
• Conduct sourcing and RFx activities, prepare pricing comparisons, and execute contracts and purchase orders in line with company policies.
• Negotiate supplier pricing, terms, conditions, contracts, and long-term agreements while identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Coordinate acceptance processes, invoice processing, and payment timelines while tracking cost, service-level, and on-time payment KPIs.
• Handle vendor onboarding, material code creation, contract reviews, and statements of work in the contract management system.
• Support internal stakeholders, collaborate with Legal and cross-functional teams, and lead procurement process training.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of procurement experience focused on indirect categories such as CAPEX, services, and MRO.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
• Project management skills and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with vendors, Legal, Finance, end users, and other internal stakeholders.

• Procurement experience supporting construction projects.
