Senior Associate, Claims & Risk Management

Location: Falls Church, Virginia, United States; minimum 4 days per week in the office at headquarters

Salary: $77,000–$112,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage property and casualty incidents and claims, including investigation, reporting, follow-up, closure, and coordination with insurance professionals.
• Handle claims across auto, general liability, property, workers’ compensation, builder’s risk, pollution, and professional liability coverage.
• Assess insurance coverage, limits, and deductibles; prepare settlement recommendation memorandums and pursue subrogation recovery when appropriate.
• Support litigated cases by coordinating document production, depositions, legal holds, key dates, attorneys, and vendors.
• Organize loss runs, invoices, and financial information for captive insurance management, analysis, and reporting.
• Administer and analyze health and safety and claims data, preparing internal reports, presentations, and educational resources.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience handling property and casualty insurance claims.
• Bachelor’s degree in risk management, business, finance, economics, safety, or a related field preferred but not required; additional experience may substitute.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel for data analytics and financial summaries.
• Experience in architecture, engineering, construction, or commercial real estate development is highly desirable.
• Ability to work from the Falls Church headquarters at least 4 days per week.
