AI Build Engineer Manager (AI)

Location: Onsite in Troy, Michigan, United States. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship or transfer.

What you will do

• Rapidly prototype AI solutions and convert architecture patterns into implementation blueprints.
• Build scalable, reusable reference implementations and containerized engineering patterns.
• Develop agentic workflows, orchestration patterns, and retrieval-augmented generation architectures.
• Apply defensive engineering and security practices to AI workloads.
• Implement containerization and cloud orchestration for enterprise AI solutions.
• Support technical governance, architecture standards, and evaluation of AI tools.

Requirements

• Mastery of Python, including FastAPI, LangChain, and LlamaIndex.
• Experience building lightweight demonstration UIs with Streamlit or React.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs, building RAG pipelines, and using vector indexing technologies such as Pinecone, Weaviate, or Azure AI Search.
• Deep proficiency with Azure and/or AWS AI services, serverless inference, and managed Kubernetes platforms.
• Expertise with Docker, Helm, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Ability to work onsite in Troy, Michigan, and work in the United States without visa sponsorship or transfer.

Nice to have

• Experience with LLMOps frameworks, model evaluation, monitoring, versioning, and drift analysis.
• Exposure to LoRA or QLoRA fine-tuning and domain specialization.
• Familiarity with TOGAF or similar Enterprise Architecture frameworks.
