Entry-Level In Vivo Scientist

Location: South Brunswick Township, New Jersey, USA; onsite, Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. Candidates must live within a commutable distance.

Salary: $21–$25 per hour, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Set up and conduct in vivo experiments according to protocols and standard operating procedures.
• Carry out project procedures efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Prepare test solutions and diets according to instructions.
• Administer doses, evaluate responses, perform necropsies, and collect blood, urine, fecal, and tissue specimens.
• Maintain precise experimental records in accordance with good laboratory practices and assist with report writing.
• Follow safety requirements and safely wear a respirator.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in laboratory animal medicine, toxicology, animal science, or biology is preferred, or equivalent directly related experience.
• Authorization to work indefinitely in the United States without restriction or sponsorship is required.
• Strong computer, scientific, organizational, communication, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, learn new techniques, manage multiple tasks, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.
• Ability to safely wear a respirator is required.

• Experience working with rats or mice.
