Test & Development Engineering Manager (Internal Combustion Engines)

Location: Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, United States

Salary: $103,200–$164,500 annually, plus eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.

What you will do

• Lead engineers developing and testing outboard and sterndrive engines.
• Interpret functional and system design requirements to support program goals.
• Plan, develop, and execute component- and system-level FMEAs and DVPs.
• Coordinate dynamometer and on-water testing with the test laboratory.
• Evaluate system performance and design margins using Concerto, Uniplot, and Catman.
• Document test methods and results, communicate risks and improvements, and collaborate with design, analysis, technician, and program teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8+ years of engineering experience with internal combustion engines.
• Experience developing and executing FMEAs, DVPs, and system-level validation plans.
• Experience with data acquisition systems and instrumentation selection.
• Ability to solve complex technical problems and collaborate cross-functionally.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 12+ years of engineering experience with internal combustion engines.
• Previous experience leading a team.
• Experience with GT-Suite, LMS Amesim, or Simulink.
