Director, Patient Access Liaison - East (Cell And Gene Therapy)

Location: Cambridge, MA; hybrid role with frequent travel across the U.S.

Base salary: $225,000–$275,000 USD per year, plus a performance-based annual cash bonus and equity compensation.

What you will do

• Build, develop, and manage a high-performing team of Patient Access Liaisons across the U.S.
• Translate patient access strategy into field plans, workflows, site profiling, readiness assessments, and activation support.
• Oversee provider education on coverage, coding, billing, prior authorizations, appeals, and financial support resources.
• Partner with Hub Services, case management, payer teams, Market Access, Medical Affairs, and Commercial leadership to resolve access barriers.
• Track denials, coverage gaps, payer behavior, patient journey obstacles, and operational friction points.
• Develop training curricula, dashboards, operational metrics, field reports, and launch-readiness materials.

Requirements

• U.S. field experience and prior U.S. launch experience are required.
• 10+ years of experience in field reimbursement, patient access, market access, or related biopharma or healthcare roles.
• 3–5+ years of leadership experience managing field reimbursement or access teams.
• Deep knowledge of U.S. reimbursement, coding, billing, claims processing, payer dynamics, and commercial and government channels.
• Experience with cell and gene therapy or other complex, highly specialized therapies is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, healthcare administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in rare disease and/or hereditary angioedema (HAE).
• Experience with single case agreements and complex cell and gene therapy access models.
