What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for Life & Health underwriting and claims across APAC ex China.
• Translate global underwriting and claims philosophy, standards, and risk appetite into the regional context.
• Advance risk assessment and acceptance approaches by combining underwriting expertise, data, and technology.
• Provide senior technical judgment on complex, material, and emerging underwriting and claims matters.
• Lead technical governance, quality assurance, deep-dives, and remediation across market and service teams.
• Build regional technical communities, develop future leaders, and represent APAC perspectives to global teams and clients.

Requirements

• At least 15 years of experience in Life & Health reinsurance, with strong technical expertise in underwriting and/or claims.
• Recognized technical leadership, sound judgment, and credibility with senior stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of underwriting philosophy, risk assessment, risk appetite, products, and profitability drivers.
• Experience with technical governance, assurance reviews, quality management, and remediation.
• Proven leadership, people-development, communication, influencing, and relationship-management skills across markets and functions.
• Relevant Life & Health underwriting or claims qualification, such as CII or FALU, is advantageous.
