Quality Manager (Manufacturing)

Location: Mason City Plant, Mason City, Iowa, United States. Onsite manufacturing plant environment with heavy machinery and equipment; day shift with shifts, weekends, and required overtime as needed.

New hire base salary: $89,800–$112,200 per year, plus eligibility for a performance-based bonus.

What you will do

• Implement and maintain Food Safety, Regulatory, and Quality policies across the plant, distribution, and local storage sites.
• Lead the Quality Risk Management Program, HACCP, sanitation, pest control, GMP, traceability, and related food safety programs.
• Maintain compliance and audit readiness for USDA and FDA requirements, including annual reviews of quality systems and policies.
• Act as the primary facility contact for regulatory agency representatives and manage documentation supporting compliance.
• Develop plant quality KPIs and scorecards, and review quality metrics with plant leadership and business-unit quality teams.
• Manage quality laboratories, measurement systems, training standards, and continuous improvement initiatives using L6S tools.

Requirements

• Experience with CQE practices and quality management in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of food safety and USDA regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of fundamental statistics, DMAIC, DFSS, Lean, metrology, MSA, and sampling procedures.
• Knowledge of sanitation programs and quality system compliance.
• Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with factory peer teams and hourly associates.
• Ability to coach plant employees and develop quality knowledge and adherence to standards.

Nice to have

• HACCP certification.
• Experience with FSSC certification requirements.
