TL;DR
Senior GL Accountant (FinTech): Owning and scaling general ledger and day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities with an accent on procure-to-pay, close management, reconciliations, and spend controls. Focus on building scalable accounting processes, managing ASC 842 lease accounting and multi-state tax compliance, and maintaining accurate, audit-ready books in a high-growth cloud FinOps environment.
Location: Fully remote in the United States or Canada; co-working is available from offices in Bellevue, Washington and New York City.

What you will do
- Prepare and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules for monthly and quarterly close.
- Own the full procure-to-pay and accounts payable cycle while administering spend management controls.
- Maintain prepaid asset schedules and amortization, including lease accounting under ASC 842.
- Manage cash and banking activity, including reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Support budgeting, close activities, variance analysis, and ad hoc financial reporting.
- Improve and document accounting processes and systems using tools such as Sage Intacct, RAMP, and FloQast.
Requirements
- 4+ years of accounting experience with strong general ledger experience in a multi-entity corporation.
- BS or BA in Accounting.
- Expertise in US GAAP and demonstrated proficiency in internal controls.
- Experience in SaaS, cloud, FinTech, FinOps, or another technology-driven industry.
- Hands-on ERP and procurement systems experience with advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills, including the ability to work with cross-functional and leadership stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Revenue accounting experience under ASC 606.
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP Marketplace.
- Experience supporting financial statement audits.
- Experience with Sage Intacct, RAMP, FloQast, or lease accounting under ASC 842.
