Sr. Software Development Engineer

Location: hirify.global Tower; duties may be performed in an office or remote home-office environment

Annual base pay: $179,500–$269,300, plus potential incentive compensation, bonuses, restricted stock units, and benefits

What you will do

• Design, develop, and integrate complex software components into fully functional systems.
• Document and maintain architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces, and designs.
• Improve system availability, performance, scaling, monitoring, capacity, and engineering efficiency through automation.
• Define requirements and acceptance criteria with product management and propose process improvements.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Represent the team in cross-organizational engineering meetings and support hiring and onboarding.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with a relevant bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of equivalent enterprise product development experience.
• Strong experience with multiple high-level programming languages, with Go and Python highly preferred; C/C++ or other languages are desirable.
• Required Bash scripting experience and practical Linux experience.
• Knowledge of networking concepts and the OSI model.
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Docker Compose, containerized development workflows, Git/GitLab, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with hardware and firmware interfaces, secure software development lifecycles, troubleshooting, communication, and technical leadership.
