Licensed Practical Nurse (Oncology)

Location: Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, United States. Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

What you will do

• Provide general nursing care and promote efficient patient flow.
• Administer prescribed medications, treatments, IV fluids, and IV therapeutic medications within the applicable state nurse practice act.
• Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
• Monitor, document, and report patient conditions and reactions to medications and treatments.
• Record vital signs, allergies, medication changes, and other patient data before physician visits.
• Perform EKG and oximetry readings, collect blood specimens, maintain patient records, and communicate with patients and families.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Current LPN license and registration with the State Board of Practical Nursing in the practicing state.
• Current BCLS certification required within three months of hire.
• Entry-level position requiring 0–3 years of practical nursing experience.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, handle and lift patients, and occasionally carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
