Inspector II (1st Shift)

Location: Onsite in Norwich, Connecticut, USA; 1st shift in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

What you will do

• Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspections of molded parts and assemblies according to work instructions.
• Measure parts using pin gages, digital calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and other equipment.
• Record inspection data in the appropriate computer files.
• Place defective products on hold and communicate part or assembly issues to supervisors and quality management.
• Perform special quality inspections, assembly inspections, and sorting projects as required.
• Maintain good housekeeping and follow measures to prevent pollution and other environmental impacts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of experience in quality, production, and manufacturing environments.
• At least 3 years of experience with basic mechanical and measuring equipment.
• Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to communicate in English.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing and warehouse environment, including frequent stooping, bending, standing, sitting, facility movement, and lifting boxes up to 70 lbs.
