Manager, Subcontracts (Energy & Chemical)

Location: On-site in Port Sulphur, Louisiana, United States; the position is also listed under Houston, Texas.

What you will do

• Lead and manage the Subcontracts team supporting construction activities on a major project.
• Manage pre-award activities, including bidder qualification, ITB preparation and issuance, and commercial and technical evaluations.
• Oversee post-award contract finalization, administration, change management, invoicing, reporting, and closeout.
• Act as the primary Subcontracts interface for the client, project management team, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop subcontracting strategies, mitigate commercial risk, and improve processes, tools, and procedures.
• Maintain subcontract files and documentation in accordance with company standards and complete the site assignment under hirify.global terms and conditions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or equivalent experience.
• 15+ years of experience in subcontract formation and administration.
• Previous experience as a Lead Subcontracts Manager in an integrated project team environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Commercial acumen, risk awareness, and strong attention to detail.
