Senior Staff Product Definition Engineer (Power Electronics)

What you will do

• Work with customers, partners, and internal engineering teams to define system-level power challenges and technical requirements.
• Translate customer and system requirements into product specifications, engineering requirements, and system use cases.
• Contribute to voltage-regulator architecture and product definition for CPU, GPU, ASIC, and other advanced computing platforms.
• Collaborate with IC design, systems, firmware, validation, applications, and marketing teams on technical trade-offs, features, and schedules.
• Create and maintain product requirements, system specifications, use cases, and interface/API documentation.
• Support system analysis, modeling, and technical evaluation of new product concepts.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience in power electronics, power-management semiconductors, applications engineering, systems engineering, or related product development.
• Experience translating system or customer requirements into technical requirements or engineering specifications.
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Ability to work onsite in Austin, Texas; remote work is not available.

Nice to have

• Experience with digital multiphase buck converters, PWM controllers, Smart Power Stages, DrMOS, or related processor power technologies.
• Experience supporting server, datacenter, cloud, or high-performance computing platforms.
• Experience with power-management ICs or semiconductor products.
• Familiarity with Intel, AMD, ARM, or other advanced processor ecosystems.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related discipline.
