Lead Advanced Technologies Engineer (Materials Engineering)

Location: Portland, Oregon, hybrid; office attendance typically required three times per week, Tuesday–Thursday

Salary: $108,700–$146,700 per year in Portland, Oregon.

What you will do

• Lead the development of next-generation underfoot systems from concepts through validated prototypes.
• Build experimentation plans, sample matrices, and testing strategies for foam systems, plate integrations, and geometries.
• Design engineering studies and mechanical testing methodologies to validate performance targets.
• Analyze technical drawings, laboratory data, and prototype results to guide design improvements.
• Manage multiple projects with clear plans, timelines, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers and project contributors while improving team processes.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent technical experience.
• 6+ years of experience in advanced materials or engineering systems.
• Experience managing projects and working with global partners.
• Deep knowledge of underfoot systems, foam creation processes, and foam–plate interactions related to athlete performance.
• Strong analytical modeling, project management, and process development skills.
