Lead Splunk Administrator (Splunk)

Location: Owings Mills, Maryland, United States. Hybrid work is available, with up to three days per week from home.

Base salary: $122,000–$209,000 annually for Maryland, Colorado, Washington, and remote workers. Other listed ranges are $135,000–$230,000 for Washington, D.C., and $153,000–$261,000 for New York and California.

What you will do

• Lead administration, onboarding, and tuning of the Splunk Enterprise platform within Log Data Management and Engineering.
• Analyze, design, build, and implement robust, scalable, and efficient Splunk infrastructure solutions.
• Define infrastructure standards and guide upgrades, refreshes, and component replacement decisions.
• Lead or support incident response, troubleshooting, anomaly detection, and root-cause analysis across complex implementations.
• Drive continuous improvement and establish new standards across multiple functional domains.
• Mentor colleagues, participate in interviews, and lead large technically complex projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and experience, plus 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• Expertise with Cribl, Splunk Enterprise, or Splunk Cloud.
• Expertise in AWS, Linux operating systems, networking, identity, and access management.
• Expertise in Ansible/AWX and infrastructure testing and management tools.
• Expertise in Agile/Scrum using JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent tools.
• US work authorization is required without current or future visa sponsorship.
