Intellectual Property Analyst

Location: Sydney, NSW, Australia; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

What you will do

• Review and respond to copyright and trademark removal requests and inquiries in line with IP policies and operational processes.
• Manage internal and external IP escalations and removal requests with urgency and sound judgment.
• Partner with Global IP Operations and other stakeholders on operational projects.
• Support training and mentorship for junior team members.
• Lead improvements to procedures, policies, and workflows aligned with the DMCA, the Lanham Act, and emerging U.S. legal requirements.
• Escalate complex IP questions, edge cases, and high-risk concerns to leadership or legal counsel.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• At least 3 years of experience in Trust & Safety, Legal Operations, Content Moderation, Risk Management, or a related operational or compliance environment.
• Experience with project development, workflow optimization, and policy implementation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with close attention to detail.
• Comfort handling sensitive content and making autonomous operational decisions.
• Ability to work changing shifts, including nights, public holidays, and weekends; current shifts range from 12pm–9pm to 3pm–12am.

• Experience processing and resolving DMCA takedown notices and trademark infringement requests.
