Chemical Process Operator (Manufacturing)

Location: GBR - Braunstone - D402; onsite role

Salary: £45,588 per annum, plus overtime and bonus

What you will do

• Operate washers and dryers according to standard operating procedures and specified parameters.
• Perform daily laboratory and conductivity checks, inspect cans, and maintain cleanliness and product condition.
• Control the Washcoat process and support water-treatment activities with service engineering personnel.
• Carry out running repairs, adjustments, planned maintenance, TC86 and spray-bar cleaning.
• Troubleshoot equipment faults and support trials, commissioning, size changeovers, and process improvements.
• Maintain accurate records and liaise with shift management and quality engineering on process changes.

Requirements

• Working knowledge of washers and washer process engineering.
• Experience with chemical treatment, bulk chemical storage, and segregation of acids and alkalis.
• Good general mechanical or technical skills and preferably previous manufacturing experience.
• Strong safety mindset, logical problem-solving ability, and attention to root causes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, communicate effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to workplace changes.
• Forklift truck licence is advantageous.
