What you will do

  • Support and develop chemical surface treatment processes, including plating, passivation, chromating, phosphating, blasting, and cleaning.
  • Maintain process controls for chemical bath composition, dosing, filtration, temperature, and agitation.
  • Support NADCAP audit readiness, evidence gathering, audit finding closure, and corrective actions.
  • Investigate process and quality issues through root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Create and maintain process documentation, work instructions, control plans, and operating procedures.
  • Provide technical support and training to production teams while leading improvements in quality, efficiency, waste reduction, and process capability.

Requirements

  • HNC/HND or degree in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Exposure to manufacturing, metal finishing, plating, surface treatments, or process engineering.
  • Understanding of pH testing, conductivity measurement, or titration.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, a data-driven approach, and excellent attention to detail.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills across production and engineering teams.
  • Confidence using Excel and other computer-based systems.

Nice to have

  • Aerospace manufacturing experience and knowledge of AS9100 or other aerospace quality standards.
  • Exposure to NADCAP audits or compliance activities.
  • Experience with plating thickness measurement, adhesion testing, or corrosion testing.
  • Knowledge of environmental compliance and hazardous material handling.
