Chemical Production Operator (Chemical Manufacturing)

What you will do

• Operate plant machinery to manufacture, fill, and pack products according to standard operating procedures.
• Set up batches, check and weigh materials, add ingredients, and move batch materials as required.
• Operate processing equipment including planetary mixers and reaction vessels.
• Clean vessels and machinery between production campaigns to prevent cross-contamination.
• Complete production documentation and provide accurate handovers to incoming shifts.
• Report incidents, near misses, maintenance needs, and opportunities to improve efficiency or reduce costs.

Requirements

• Strong attention to detail and numerical ability, with GCSE Maths and English.
• Experience in a manufacturing process environment or the chemical industry is preferred.
• Forklift licence or the ability to learn forklift operation.
• Reliable teamwork, adaptability, computer literacy, and awareness of health and safety.
• Ability to perform physically demanding manual handling, including carrying and lifting a variety of items.
• Ability to work onsite in Duxford and on a rotating three-shift schedule.
