Lease Accountant

Location: Hybrid, based out of the Mankato, Minnesota or Lakeville, Minnesota office; up to 50% work from home.

Base pay: $52,100–$73,900 USD annually, plus variable compensation and benefits.

What you will do

• Analyze lease transactions and create accounting system entries using appropriate procedures and accounting principles.
• Book new leases, maintain client accounts, process payments, generate invoices, and administer ACH setup and maintenance.
• Create daily general ledger entries, reconcile the general ledger with lease applications, and resolve exceptions and unposted items.
• Support lease servicing, payoffs, specialty programs, month-end system jobs, and payment exception resolution.
• Provide technical support to internal teams, vendors, AgriBank, and SunStream regarding lease and general ledger transactions.
• Monitor data quality, prepare spreadsheets and calculation tools, assist with lease data mapping, and document process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of related work experience, preferably in financial services.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and understanding of lease accounting and its impact on financial statements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, client service, teamwork, accuracy, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications and accounting software.
• Valid driver’s license and authorization to work for any employer in the United States required.
