Reconciliation and Reporting Specialist (Healthcare Finance)

What you will do

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations across financial accounts, bank statements, cash transactions, hirify.global, and Horizon platforms.
• Research, analyze, track, and resolve reconciliation discrepancies and exceptions with internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare recurring and ad hoc reports for management and business partners.
• Complete NY Pool insurance filings and related regulatory reporting by established deadlines.
• Process void and reissue requests, verify supporting documentation and approvals, and maintain audit trails.
• Support audits, reconciliation system maintenance, process improvements, and Treasurer activities while collaborating with Accounting, Funding Operations, and Customer Service.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in reconciliations, accounting operations, financial reporting, or a related function.
• Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and reconciliation processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to have

• Experience with insurance filings, regulatory reporting, or treasury operations.
• Experience processing payment corrections, voids, and reissues.
