Forward Deployed Engineer (RF/Embedded Systems)

Location: Los Angeles, CA, United States; on-site

Expected base salary: $130,000–$200,000 per year, plus equity.

What you will do

• Install and configure embedded devices at customer sites.
• Provide technical support and deployment guidance to customers.
• Integrate RF technologies with customer systems in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Develop and maintain networking protocols and software for embedded Linux, cloud, and laboratory environments.
• Manage containerized services and ensure reliable network performance in terrestrial and space applications.
• Review architecture, design, and code while instrumenting and optimizing communication software.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience developing software for Linux-based systems.
• Expertise in C++, C, and/or Python, with production-quality coding experience.
• Experience with GNU Radio, software-defined radios, RF technologies, embedded systems, and digital signal processing.
• Strong knowledge of networking protocols, including TCP and UDP.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful U.S. permanent resident, protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required U.S. authorizations under ITAR.
