Software Engineer 3 (Python/C/C++/RF/Bash/Hardware)

Location: Annapolis Junction, Maryland, United States. This is an onsite role requiring U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable polygraph.

Annual salary: $130,000–$270,000, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Design and develop large Python systems and general-purpose Python scripts.
• Design and develop systems software in C and C++.
• Build and maintain scripts using Bash, awk, sed, and PowerShell.
• Apply RF signal familiarity to software and hardware-related engineering tasks.
• Support daily software engineering responsibilities across programs with similar scope and complexity.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with a favorable polygraph are required.
• Fifteen years of software engineering experience on programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or four additional years of relevant software engineering experience in lieu of the degree.
• Professional experience with Python systems design and development, C/C++ systems design and development, and scripting languages.
• Familiarity with RF signals.

Nice to have

• STM32 microcontroller development and familiarity with STM32CubeMX, STM32CubeIDE, STM32CubeProgrammer, and STM32CubeMonitor.
• Experience with Raspberry Pi 4 or 5 products.
• Hardware breadboarding, debugging, and use of tools such as multimeters.
• Knowledge of digital logic devices and RF signal analysis or testing tools, including FieldFox and spectrum analyzers.
• Experience with customer AI web services.
