Effector Embedded Software Engineer (C/C++)

Location: Full-time onsite in Los Angeles (Hawthorne), California, United States. U.S. Person status is required to access U.S.-only data systems.

Salary: $160,000–$240,000 base compensation annually, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance embedded software for software-defined radio platforms.
• Develop low-level software and firmware interfaces for complex RF hardware.
• Lead firmware and software integration efforts across product families.
• Support full system integration, testing, and validation through deployment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of professional embedded software development experience.
• Strong embedded Linux and device driver experience, with proficiency in C/C++ for embedded and real-time systems.
• Experience with Python, real-time operating systems, bare-metal programming, and ARM-based platforms.
• Experience developing embedded software for software-defined radios or radio transceiver chips.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD, automated testing, Agile methodologies, and collaborative software development.

Nice to have

• DoD security clearance and experience with Analog Devices RF transceivers or the Linux IIO framework.
• Experience with AMD/Xilinx FPGAs, Nvidia GPUs, heterogeneous computing, or FPGA development using VHDL, Verilog, or SystemVerilog.
• Experience optimizing low-latency, high-throughput signal processing algorithms.
• Experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing, high-TRL systems, and full-lifecycle software integration, testing, and validation.
