Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (Geospatial)

Location: Herndon, Virginia, United States; onsite. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and hold an active TS/SCI security clearance with CI poly, or be willing to obtain a CI poly. Certain duties may require U.S. person status under ITAR regulations.

Salary: $165,000–$220,000–$242,000 annually, depending on location, experience, qualifications, skills, and market conditions.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain fullstack applications for geospatial and Motion GEOINT systems.
• Build scalable software across frontend, backend, data, visualization, and 3D rendering layers.
• Contribute to system architecture, object-oriented design, microservices, and distributed-system solutions.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability across multiple environments.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, configuration management, and technical troubleshooting.
• Collaborate in Agile development through sprint planning, standups, code reviews, and cross-functional delivery.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly are required; willingness to obtain a CI poly may be considered.
• 10+ years of fullstack software development experience.
• Experience with geospatial applications, Motion GEOINT data, concepts, and systems.
• Proficiency in one or more of C, C++, Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Understanding of object-oriented design, distributed systems, version control, automated testing, and CI/CD.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and communicate technical concepts clearly.

Nice to have

• Experience with React, Angular, Node, Django, or Spring.
• Experience with 3D graphics and visualization technologies such as OpenGL, WebGL, Unity, or CesiumJS.
• Knowledge of geospatial platforms including PostGIS, GeoServer, ArcGIS, QGIS, Leaflet, or Mapbox.
• Experience with big data, distributed processing, cloud, virtualization, DevOps, databases, or high-performance computing.
• Mobile development or UI/UX development experience focused on usability and performance.
