Senior Staff Software Engineer - Fullstack

Location: Westminster, Colorado, United States; on-site. U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret security clearance are required. Travel of up to 10% may be required.

Salary: $184,000–$225,000 per year, plus company stock options and benefits.

Develops communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms in a startup-oriented, cross-functional engineering environment.

What you will do

• Build modern full-stack applications supporting space mission systems.
• Integrate and modernize legacy ground and flight software.
• Develop distributed applications using microservices, cloud-native architectures, and distributed ledger or consensus frameworks.
• Support on-orbit and ground-system integration and testing, including emulation, simulation, and interface validation.
• Implement DevSecOps pipelines, automated testing, and secure software practices.
• Develop UI/UX interfaces for mission operators and analysts while collaborating with system engineers, mission integrators, and operations teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 12+ years of relevant software engineering experience and technical leadership in software modernization or distributed systems.
• Experience architecting microservices, APIs, message buses, high-availability systems, and SQL/NoSQL database integrations.
• Experience integrating and testing space-based or ground mission systems, including DoD/IC programs, ATO processes, or DevSecOps on classified systems.
• Professional experience with C++, C#, Rust, Python, or Go; cloud services such as AWS, Azure, or GovCloud; and tools including GitHub, Jira, and Confluence.
• U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain a Secret security clearance are required.

Nice to have

• Existing security clearance, preferably TS/SCI.
• Experience with spacecraft software, operations software, flight/ground segment integration, high-performance computing, distributed processing, or real-time systems.
• Experience with performance tuning, resource-constrained environments, infrastructure as code, and automated test frameworks.
• Familiarity with DLT, blockchain, consensus protocols, or modern UI/UX frameworks such as React, Vue, Svelte, or Blazor.
