Vice President, Payment Operations

Location: Washington, DC; in-office requirement of four days per week

Base salary: $170,000–$190,000 annually, plus benefits and potential eligibility for an annual discretionary incentive program.

What you will do

• Own hirify.global's procure-to-pay policies and processes, including governance of Appian payment modules.
• Oversee firm, fund, and deal payment operations, prioritizing requests and ensuring critical payment deadlines are met.
• Coordinate with Payment Operations, Technology, banking partners, consultants, auditors, and senior stakeholders.
• Administer the US Corporate Credit Card program and oversee travel and expense reimbursement processes.
• Review accounts payable and sales and use tax reconciliations, manage abandoned and unclaimed property compliance, and lead audit responses.
• Develop KPI and SLA reporting while driving automation, process transformation, and team performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, including 4–5 years in people leadership.
• Experience in payment operations, accounts payable, finance operations, or a related function within a complex institutional environment.
• Experience with banking partners, cash management, wire transactions, treasury management systems, and banking portals.
• Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay operations, supplier management, corporate payment programs, SOX compliance, audits, and internal controls.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency; working knowledge of Appian and Microsoft Suite is preferred.

• Experience in private equity, asset management, or financial services.
• Experience leading large-scale process transformation and technology-enabled automation initiatives.
• Familiarity with fund and deal transaction processes.
