Project Manager (Physical Security)

Location: Torrance, California, United States; travel required for site visits, client meetings, and project oversight.

Salary: $125,000–$140,000 annually, plus performance-based bonuses.

What you will do

• Lead multiple physical security projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing in alignment with PMI/PMBOK standards.
• Oversee on-premise and cloud-based security deployments, including video surveillance, access control, VMS, IP cameras, NVRs, and mobile access solutions.
• Coordinate system design and integrations with enterprise networks, identity management systems, cloud services, and low-voltage infrastructure.
• Manage client communication, kickoff meetings, progress updates, closeouts, scope, schedules, budgets, risks, and change control.
• Conduct site surveys and security assessments, support proposals and SOWs, and oversee installation teams for quality, safety, and specification compliance.
• Coordinate manufacturers, vendors, subcontractors, engineering teams, and other project stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of project management experience in physical security, low-voltage, or integrated systems environments.
• Experience managing video surveillance, access control, VMS, multi-site, or enterprise-level security deployments.
• Hands-on experience with Axis, Avigilon, Brivo, Verkada, Hanwha Vision, and/or Identiv systems.
• Strong understanding of IP-based security systems, network infrastructure dependencies, cloud-managed security platforms, and physical security compliance practices.
• PMP certification is required.
• Strong leadership, communication, budgeting, forecasting, documentation, technical drawing, RFP, SOW, analytical, and problem-solving skills; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Nice to have

• Manufacturer certifications such as Axis Certified Professional, Avigilon or Verkada certifications, and Brivo or Identiv training.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Criminal Justice, or a related field.
• Experience with Agile or hybrid project environments.
