Project Manager - Public Safety

Location: Remote within the US; travel required for client and business needs at less than 15%.

Salary: $69,700–$100,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead governance across the Public Safety Consulting Services portfolio and improve standard operating procedures, templates, and delivery practices.
• Coordinate proposal development, including content strategy, compliance, submission timelines, and collaboration with subject matter experts.
• Oversee multiple concurrent projects, maintaining plans, milestones, deliverables, budgets, schedules, risks, dependencies, contracts, and invoicing.
• Manage resource utilization, subcontractor capacity, and cross-service-line collaboration.
• Act as an internal and client-facing liaison during onboarding, meetings, presentations, workshops, and executive communications.
• Develop and review reports, analyses, presentations, and other client deliverables while maintaining quality assurance standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, healthcare, fire administration, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in public safety consulting or a related professional or field services environment with supervisory responsibility.
• Experience supporting or leading proposal development, project management, and client delivery.
• Proven ability to deliver projects on time and within budget while managing multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, written, verbal, and stakeholder management skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.

Nice to have

• PMP, CMP, or another relevant project management certification.
• Experience in consulting or professional services.
• Knowledge of fire and EMS operations, standards, and best practices.
