Machine Operator - 2nd Shift (CNC)

Location: Coldwater, Michigan, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Operate a variety of CNC lathes and mills, including at least two machines simultaneously.
• Load, unload, inspect, deburr, clean, and package machined parts.
• Perform secondary operations and maintain production standards, accurate part counts, and job trackers.
• Execute machine offsets and insert changes with direction from a supervisor or lead.
• Report machining problems and follow documented inspection, operating, and safety procedures.
• Maintain part quality and consistently achieve a scrap rate below 1.5%.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of machining experience, trade school, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of CNC functions, controls, instrumentation, and machinist skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, notes, and basic dimensions.
• Ability to use calipers, micrometers, gauge pins, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to perform basic decimal calculations and maintain dimensional tolerances of ±.0003"-.005" or greater.
