Lead Machine Maintenance Technician (Automation)

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and mentor maintenance technicians across skill levels.
• Oversee troubleshooting and repair of complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automated, HVAC, plumbing, and facility systems.
• Provide expert diagnostics for PLCs, robotics, HMIs, control systems, industrial networks, and material handling equipment.
• Plan maintenance activities, work orders, preventive-maintenance schedules, upgrades, installations, and emergency repairs.
• Partner with operations, engineering, and senior leadership on capital planning, budgeting, resources, and equipment reliability.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA/HVAC, environmental, and company safety standards.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of machine maintenance experience, preferably in manufacturing or distribution.
• 5+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in technical teams.
• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, automation, robotics, HMI, and industrial networking systems.
• Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation and troubleshoot multi-system environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods in hot, cold, and noisy conditions.
• Associate degree in Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred; equivalent education, certifications, and experience accepted.
