Focus on recording clinical data, maintaining disinfection protocols, coordinating referrals and prescriptions, and assisting with outpatient procedures.

Location: Maplewood, Minnesota, United States; onsite clinical work

Salary: $21.50–$30.00 per hour

What you will do

  • Assist physicians and clinicians with patient care, examinations, and clinical procedures.
  • Perform pelvic floor center tests, including radiographic imaging procedures when clinically appropriate.
  • Record vital signs, height, weight, allergies, medication changes, and other patient information before visits.
  • Prepare and stock examination and treatment rooms, order supplies, and maintain disinfection protocols.
  • Escort patients, obtain records, coordinate referrals, communicate prescription requests, and support patient calls.
  • Complete clerical duties including scheduling, chart preparation, typing, filing, faxing, and reception support.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is strongly preferred.
  • Current CPR certification is required.
  • Current Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant certification is preferred; certification or registration must be obtained within six months of hire if not already held.
  • Two to three years of experience is preferred; outpatient surgery experience is helpful.
  • Clinical Assistant candidates must have current CPR certification and either EMT credentials or CNA certification with one year of direct-care experience.
  • Ability to handle and lift patients, stand and walk for extended periods, and occasionally lift up to 40 pounds.
