Security Control Assessor (SCA) I - greater Washington, DC area (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite in Washington, District of Columbia; Arlington, Virginia; or Suitland, Maryland. Travel required: 10–25%.

Salary: $96,569–$130,651 annually.

What you will do

• Assess management, operational, and technical security controls for Collateral, SCI, and SAP information systems.
• Apply the Risk Management Framework in accordance with the Joint Special Access Program Implementation Guide.
• Evaluate authorization packages, system threats, vulnerabilities, security documentation, and authorization boundaries.
• Prepare Security Assessment Reports and Plans of Action and Milestones, and recommend corrective actions.
• Advise system owners, security officers, authorization officials, and the Government on assessment and authorization issues.
• Support compliance inspections, cybersecurity incident response, SDLC reviews, hardware and software evaluations, and continuous monitoring.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance and U.S. citizenship required.
• Must be willing to submit to a CI polygraph.
• 9+ years of related experience, or equivalent combinations of experience and education.
• At least three years of experience in SAP, SCI, or Collateral information systems security and related regulations.
• Prior experience as an ISSO and ISSM.
• IAT Level 3 certification, such as CISSP, CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, or CISA, or IAM Level 1 certification within six months of hire; must be able to regularly lift 50 lbs.
