Packaging Testing Technician

Location: San Jose, CA, USA; candidates must be within a commutable distance

Compensation: USD 18–25 per hour

What you will do

• Receive customer samples and record information in shipping and receiving logs.
• Conduct transit and package integrity testing according to ASTM standards, ISTA standards, or customer protocols.
• Enter sample information into the laboratory inventory management system and generate work orders when needed.
• Prepare test evidence reports, maintain packaging testing records, and perform entry-level data review and reporting.
• Provide customer support by communicating testing status, updates, and results.
• Report observed deviations to the Operations Manager and follow QMS procedures and company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, plus general computer literacy.
• Ability to lift bulky items up to 30 pounds and climb, bend, and reach without restriction.
• Ability to work full-time, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in the San Jose area.

Nice to have

• Production testing or related industry experience.
• Knowledge of ASTM standards.
