Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Ads)

Location: Seattle, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $177,688–$341,734 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Build scalable machine learning systems and advanced models for TikTok Shop Ads.
• Improve ad ranking quality through click-through-rate and conversion-rate prediction.
• Develop intelligent format selection and user journey optimization solutions.
• Explore and experiment with new features to improve model accuracy.
• Optimize ad relevance, quality, and delivery using modern machine learning techniques.
• Collaborate with global counterparts, product managers, designers, and other disciplines on shopping experiences.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python, SQL, and data manipulation.
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, or comparable big data processing frameworks and distributed computing.
• Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning, including feature engineering, model evaluation, and optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with complex and unstructured datasets.
• At least 5 years of experience as a Machine Learning Engineer or Data Scientist.
• Ability to work fully in person in Seattle, up to 5 days per week.

Nice to have

• Master's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience with causal machine learning.
• Experience in user growth, marketing, recommendation, or advertising algorithms.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
