Data Scientist, Ecommerce - USDS

Location: Los Angeles, United States; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $136,800–$228,000 annually, with potential additional bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Analyze large and complex datasets using quantitative, statistical, experimental, and data-mining approaches.
• Develop strategies for the ecommerce product through analysis and presentation of data.
• Set goals, forecast outcomes, and monitor product metrics to measure product success and identify trends.
• Define and test opportunities to improve the product and inform roadmaps through insights and recommendations.
• Build data pipelines and dashboards to improve data infrastructure.
• Develop machine learning models for use cases such as creator discovery and user lifetime-value measurement, collaborating with PM, Operations, R&D, and other teams.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, computer science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data science and machine learning.
• Proficiency in SQL and Tableau.
• Familiarity with Python or R for modeling projects.
• Ability to communicate and present analytical results to stakeholders and drive business impact.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
