Senior Machine Learning Engineer (Shop Ads)

Location: Los Angeles R&D; fully in-person schedule up to 5 days a week

Salary: $177,688–$416,100 annually, plus potential discretionary bonuses, incentives, and restricted stock units.

What you will do

• Build scalable machine learning systems and advanced models for shop ad ranking quality.
• Develop click-through rate and conversion rate prediction, intelligent format selection, and user journey optimization.
• Explore and experiment with new features to improve model accuracy.
• Apply machine learning to improve ad relevance, quality, and delivery.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, global counterparts, and other disciplines on shopping experiences.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in data manipulation.
• Experience with Hadoop, Spark, distributed computing, and large-scale data mining.
• Strong understanding of machine learning and deep learning, including feature engineering, model evaluation, and optimization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with complex and unstructured datasets.
• 5+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer or data scientist.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Master's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Experience with causal machine learning, user growth, marketing, recommendation, or advertising algorithms.
