Senior Observability Automation Engineer (AI)

Location: Austin, TX, United States. The role requires authorization to work for any employer in the U.S.; hybrid work opportunities are offered.

What you will do

• Translate ambiguous business needs into observable, automated systems from architecture and prototyping through production operations.
• Extend the cloud-hosted agentic AI platform, including locally self-hosted models, for observability and automated issue detection.
• Design 24/7, cross-region-resilient observability tooling for business-critical enterprise environments.
• Integrate CRM, case data, endpoint and security telemetry, cloud infrastructure, and cross-environment monitoring data.
• Build resilient collection and analytics pipelines, self-service monitoring frameworks, and CI/CD integrations.
• Lead performance tuning, incident resolution, security and compliance work, and occasional event-driven on-call support.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree, 6+ years with an advanced degree, or equivalent experience.
• Expertise in software development, system integration, observability platforms, monitoring frameworks, and analytics tools.
• Proficiency in C# or Go and experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
• Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure, DevOps toolchains, infrastructure as code, and event-driven automation.
• Experience with Linux and Windows scripting, including Bash, Perl, Python, and PowerShell, plus Grafana or Splunk.
• Fluent written and oral English and authorization to work for any U.S. employer are required.
