Material Handler Operations Lead (Distribution)

Location: Memphis, Tennessee, USA; onsite at a distribution center

What you will do

• Direct daily workflow alongside material-handling associates in partnership with the department Supervisor.
• Support order fulfillment, including picking, packing, manifesting, and staging finished shipments.
• Follow client-specific, order fulfillment, material-flow, and temperature-controlled-area SOPs.
• Maintain a safe operating environment and complete pre- and post-use lift truck checklists.
• Perform end-of-shift inventory checks and maintain accurate shipping-supply levels.
• Recruit and train associates as needed, address operational issues, and support productivity and compliance.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent, such as a GED.
• At least 2 years of experience in a fast-paced distribution warehouse or stock room.
• Strong verbal communication, reading, addition, and subtraction skills for order documentation.
• Ability to follow instructions and SOPs accurately, complete tasks with minimal supervision, and meet productivity standards.
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week over 5 days, plus overtime as needed.
• Ability to stand or walk for at least 80% of the shift, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform bending, squatting, pivoting, and stooping.

Nice to have

• At least 3 years of distribution warehouse experience, including 2 years in a team lead or supervisor role.
• Pharmaceutical or medical warehouse experience.
• At least 1 year of forklift operation experience or equivalent certification.
• Experience solving warehouse operations issues and coaching or training associates on SOP compliance.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
