Distribution Center Lead - 2nd Shift

Location: Portage, Michigan, United States; onsite, 2nd shift

What you will do

• Support the Distribution Center Supervisor or Manager with daily tasks, projects, meetings, and training.
• Assist distribution center associates with work-process questions, training, and development.
• Manage business-system queues and prioritize workflows for scheduled orders.
• Perform inventory receipt, storage, picking, packing, restocking, counting, back-order verification, and shipment activities.
• Check work accuracy, monitor truck loading, respond to shipment errors, and adjust inventory as needed.
• Operate and inspect warehouse equipment, follow safety procedures, and maintain housekeeping and performance standards.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of prior warehouse experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to use barcode scanners, printers, warehouse equipment, machines, and vehicles, with basic math and reasoning skills.
• Strong work ethic, verbal and written communication skills, organization, and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and stand, walk, lift, pull, and push throughout the shift.
• Ability to climb stair or step ladders of up to 16 steps and work in typical distribution center temperature and noise conditions.

Nice to have

• Three years of prior warehouse experience.
• Two years of forklift operating experience.
