Distribution Warehouse Agent

Location: Romulus, Michigan, USA, in the Detroit metro area; onsite position. Must be authorized to work in the US. Relocation expenses and support are not offered.

What you will do

• Unload and load trucks accurately and on schedule.
• Weigh, dimension, label, pick, stage, and put away freight while maintaining accurate location records.
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts and follow safe lifting and handling practices.
• Check shipment quantities, labels, addresses, country codes, and documentation to prevent mis-shipments and cross-labels.
• Enter operational data, report shortages and damage, and coordinate with the office to meet customer service standards.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment, including the temperature-controlled room, and identify process improvements.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read, count accurately, perform basic math, write legibly, and match numbers and country codes.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and frequently twist, stoop, squat, reach, crouch, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to use proper lifting techniques for weights up to 40 lbs and follow safety instructions.
• Strong communication, organization, time management, reliability, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
• Forklift certification and Security Threat Assessment are required after successful employment.
