Technology Design Specialist (Data Centers)

Location: On-site in Houston, Texas, USA; travel up to 5%.

What you will do

• Coordinate project efforts with department heads and project managers.
• Perform technology design work using Revit and AutoCAD or Bluebeam.
• Review project documents, plans, specifications, product data, and shop drawing submittals.
• Assist with responses to RFIs, CPRs, ASIs, and RFPs.
• Document design and construction progress through reports and meeting minutes.
• Perform QA/QC reviews during multiple design phases.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience with Revit.
• Experience designing data centers and network operation centers and understanding their documentation, plans, specifications, codes, and standards.
• Experience integrating requirements from architects, engineers, stakeholders, and service providers.
• Experience designing structured cabling, wireless access, IoT, carrier systems, access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection systems.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, and/or Bluebeam, plus proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills; current BICSI RCDD or DCDC certification, or relevant data center/NOC design experience, is accepted.

• Familiarity with switching and routing standards.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Bluebeam.
