International Surety Specialist (Hybrid)

Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid

Base salary: EUR 27,000–45,000 annually for a full-time role, plus potential performance-based annual bonus and additional benefits.

What you will do

• Manage task assignments and triage incoming emails and documents for new transactions, amendments, and general client inquiries.
• Coordinate with internal International Surety Desk stakeholders across regions and markets, as well as clients and brokers.
• Process and allocate client payments, support payment reconciliation, and ensure accurate premium booking.
• Investigate booking discrepancies and escalate issues when required.
• Support clients with account statements, clarify payment inquiries, and gather additional information.
• Contribute to standardized processes and improved responsibilities within the International Surety transformation model.

Requirements

• Completed commercial education, preferably banking specialization, a bachelor's degree in economics or international trade, or equivalent experience.
• Initial experience in trade finance or banking and in a client-facing finance role.
• Proficiency in English and German in reading, writing, and speaking is required.
• Good computer skills, especially Microsoft Office and Excel.
• Strong organizational, analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently.

Nice to have

• Experience with trade finance transaction processing, credit insurance products, or similar task-management roles.
• Experience with payment allocation and reconciliation.
• Additional languages, especially French or Italian.
• Familiarity with task management tools.
